The Pellissippi Press started life, as its name implies, as the print newspaper student voice of Pellissippi State Technical Community College in Knoxville, TN. The college has always been at the forefront of practical technological development and education. For instance, Yahoo at one point named Pellissippi State as being among the top 20 “most wired campuses,” and the college was one of the first to give an e-mail account automatically to every student who registered at the college. It is thus appropriate that, as far as we know, The Pellissippi Press was among the first student newspaper to go completely digital. We have not had a print edition in a few years.
The Pellissippi Press is a completely student-run news portal. In keeping with professional ethics for college journalism, neither the administration of Pellissippi State nor any of its employees make editorial decisions regarding content or display of any information on this site.
