Pellissippi’s Internet Takes to the Cloud

by Logan Mitchell

Technology may be growing constantly but Pellissippi State strives to keep pace with the changes.

“I oversee anything that plugs into a wall or connects to a cloud. Pellissippi is very much up-to-date on technology but there is always room for improvement,” said Audrey Williams, vice president of information services.  In the next two years, improvements will be made to hardware as well as software at all campuses, she said.

In terms of the internet, students can expect more cloud services such as continued use of the Office 365 software as well as updated web browsers and a new webpage. These services will simplify registration for returning and upcoming students and allow easier access to grades and assignments.
